  • Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I am thrilled to have all our school aged programs under the same roof at Woodlands Secondary School. This school year will be filled with many exciting learning opportunities for all students. We as a staff are committed to working with students and families to build and achieve goals that are focused on healing, growth, and learning. Each day we look to provide dignity, purpose, and options to all students. Here’s what those words mean to the staff of Learning Alternatives:

Dignity – Students leave our programs knowing they have worked hard; knowing they have been challenged and found success.  They know and believe that they have accomplished difficult goals.

Purpose – Students leave our programs knowing who they are; they know what they have to offer in this world.  They believe their contributions are important.

Options – Students leave our program with the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful beyond the walls of our school building.

I am passionate about rebranding what education looks like. Last year, we celebrated over 80 graduates that showed us many ways they can learn and find success. This year we look to celebrate lots of student success throughout the year. I promise that we will never, ever give up on a student. Learning Alternatives is part of my family and there’s nothing I will not do for family.
