Casey remembers all too well what it was like to be a student who struggled with math, and the social complexity that came with his teenage years. Acquiring his teacher certificate took considerable effort for him to become better at public speaking and leading. He knows about the uncomfortable feelings that accompany improving skills, and the pride and satisfaction of reaching goals. He would like nothing more than to help every one of his students learn to fight through challenges by using their strengths.

Intrigued by science and science-fiction, he is fascinated by the origins and nature of life and the universe. Casey enjoys making art, building things, camping, snowboarding, and being a family man. Casey considers himself to be extremely fortunate to work at Learning Alternatives because it allows him the privilege of building meaningful relationships with students in a flexible and relaxed setting.
