Teacher - Senior Learning Alternatives & Ravens Lelum

I am originally from Dawson Creek BC but moved to the Island in grade six and fell in love with the West Coast way of living. I adore all thing coastal and spend as much time outdoors as possible. I share my home with my two beautiful children and the world’s greatest husband. I was fortunate enough to grow up in Youbou/Lake Cowichan and have lake living in my blood.

I was incredibly inspired by the passion and enthusiasm of my high school PE teacher Pat Biello and started to vision my life as an educator early in my teen years. After graduating from VIU in 2009 I traveled to Fort Chipewyan Alberta where I started my career in alternative education. Every year since then my passion to teach education in an alternative way has grown and I can say with confidence I have my dream job. My objective with every student I work with is to help them build confidence, have resilience, and to create a positive vision for their future.
